Our next stop on our wine tasting excursion was Frank Family Vineyards. With dogs running around and picnic tables outside with a view of the vineyard, this place definitely was more of my speed. Cozy. Recently remodeled, the original yellow craftsman home on the property is now using the bedrooms as a new sit down, tasting room experience. (Marilyn Monroe and The Rat Pack used to stay in the house from time to time so if you’re lucky you may be in one of those bedrooms drinking and having a ball). Our host Mike was an absolute sweetheart and made our experience really memorable. I only have a few pictures from here but I honestly was so in the moment I didn’t remember to take many. You’ll just have to go and visit and see for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.
Ok, now on to day 2 which started off much like day 1. It was 8am and we needed coffee ASAP. While on our walk we ended up coming across Napa Valley Coffee Roasting Co. and decided we had to try it out. I’m so glad we did. What other coffee shop has a live cellist at 8 o’clock in the morning? Seriously incredible.
I ordered a Mocha Mint Snuggler and Kyle got a White Chocolate Mocha. YUM. The girls working there were so kind and wonderful. I felt like I was in a fairytale.
After enjoying the music and walking back to the hotel we met up with Kyle’s family and we were off to Cliff Lede Vineyards.
The Rock & Roll Winery. Each vineyard block is named after some of Cliff Lede’s favorite rock songs. When you have a vineyard block called Dark Side Of The Moon…you know it’s gotta be good. We sipped and lounged and even took a stroll through the vineyard. As we are walking Kyle asked what the grapes tasted like to see if the rumors of them being bitter were true. Ask and you shall receive. We got to taste a grape!!! It was sweet and delicious and not bitter at all. I had always wanted to taste a grape right off the vine so cheers to checking an item off my bucket list.
And now….wedding time!!! V. Sattui gave us everything we wanted for a Napa Wedding. Views, wine, and of course all the feels. The reception was held in the cellar which as you can see was simply gorgeous. There’s just something about a cellar like that. It’s mysterious, rustic, and utterly romantic. We danced and drank the night away!
Our trip was a great one. Kyle and I can’t wait to go back and hopefully we get too soon. We had a blast and Congratulations to the Bride & Groom. Thank you for the fun and the hangover.
Till Next Time,
The LA Blonde
